Hey Dave,

My main concern is for those who are pursuing SU as an online venture. As an offline NM model, it is perfect. However, online, there are many people who are struggling for the exact same reasons as affiliate marketing.

The blend between affiliate marketing and online network marketing shouldn’t be very far apart. The only thing is that many people are unable to grasp the concept, and leadership doesn’t really matter where the technical elements are concerned.

So, the reason for recommending affiliate marketing as a starting point is once they are able to understand this, they can do exactly the same thing as an affiliate marketer as they would in an online network marketing system.

Very interesting post. I’ve read a lot on these guys, but I’ve never heard the fast that people should try out affiliate programs first. I would guess a strong leader would be able to get you right into the program without needing to affiliate network first, but I do see the advantages an affiliate marketer would have from the start!
