Internet Marketing – How Do I Really Get Started?

Internet marketing presumes that you do not even need a product. Remember – it’s the marketing that counts! If you want to make a decent profit using internet marketing, you need to understand how the process works, and I’ve emphasized this so many times, some of you may think I’m repeating myself silly!

First, pick a spot – any spot. Do your market research properly. If you haven’t heard, I have/have had a teleseminar on with Dr. Ron of www.NicheProf.com. He’s an expert at market research and you too can learn how to do proper research in order to determine if your niche is viable.

Second, find your products. Go to www.Clickbank.com or to www.CJ.com. Register as an affiliate, then seek out products that your target audience would want to purchase. You will need a website to begin.

Third, go to www.IMSupportHub.com/simon. This tool is invaluable and will provide you with more than sufficient leverage to do your email marketing, etc. You will need this, because it’s like your marketing piggybank. Without it, you will be lost and never be able to start. To learn more, get the MP3 that I did with Simon Grabowski and Michael Cheney. Fourth, make sure you know how to build a site. You can use Blogger as a site builder (it’s free – but less control and function). You can also read my FAQ on Web Hosting for Beginners.

Fifth, provide content to your site. PLEASE… do NOT write for a thousand different target groups. Focus on a niche, focus on one solid area, and then recommend products in that area. You will see my input about this in my other post on making affiliate recommendations.

Sixth, start generating traffic. I’m not talking about 50 or 100 people a day. I’m talking 1000 to 5000 a day that turns your site income potential into something substantial. How to generate traffic is covered in several places on this site including this one.
