Email Marketing Campaigns #1

Recently, I have been thinking about the power of e-mail. The reason why I’m doing this is because many of the top Internet marketers have been emphasizing the fact that the email marketing campaign strateiges will continue to survive in spite of the fact that a web site could simply get banned or delisted.

This is tremendous for anyone who knows the power of list building. Any decent email marketing campaign will need to have a list built first.
I’ve discovered that many people have been emphasizing list building and creating Opt-In pages. The fact is, in order for you to establish the right way to create and Opt-In page, you ought to follow some of the top-notch Internet market this will be in building their e-mail lists over a long period of time.

One of the ways to create an e-mail marketing list, is to use the software known as an e-mail autoresponder! This nifty software can actually help you to generate more leads. And guess what? These people in your database are now opted in, giving you the right to send them marketing messages!

I’ve recently taken a look and made a good comparison between two software: Aweber and GetResponse. To be honest, I didn’t really like GetResponse at first because I couldn’t migrate easily (you need to transfer databases – which can be quite a killer), and it was difficult for me to muster up the resources to transfer my data over. However, I learnt that I must have been leaving a lot of money on the table!

So I decided to do a test. I went back and checked, though. Most of the emails sent by autoresponders that get sent into my Outlook box that end up in my Junk email folder are usually from Aweber.

Implix CEO, Simon Grabowski had a chat with me the other day. I consider him a very genuine person and someone who has a lot of credibility in the things he’s been doing (GetResponse is the oldest web-based autoresponder and email marketing campaign management software there is on the face of this planet). I’m even considering bringing him to Singapore to talk about email marketing and the benefits of email marketing to corporates and small businesses alike. The power of email has not been tapped effectively enough. There are so many strategies that can be used, I think it’s simply astounding that people are not exploiting it completely.

Here are some cool tips you can look into when using a software like GetResponse.

#1 – Queue newsletters for several weeks and shift the pace of emails sent to be aligned with your severity of the emotion involved.
I find that if I sent multiple emails with great content and use that to facilitate a better understanding, I think people will find it useful and want to keep up with me during this period of time. It’s like an adventure – a virtual one, but nonetheless effective. If I want to create excitement, I build the number of emails up. If there is great value, people don’t mind reading it and this continues to seal in a relationship with your audience.

#2 – Broadcast thanks and appreciation.
Too many times, emails have only been focused on promotion. Whatever happened to the thanks and appreciation and celebration? In fact, celebration often gets people excited as well. Imagine what you can do with these powerful messages in an automated email marketing campaign!

#3 – Recommend Other Sites Other Than Your Own.
In this world, when you endorse a third party, you actually appear more credible. The fact is, the more research you do, the more you will have to refer to third parties anyway. I’d recommend that a genuine referral to a site that could be useful to your audience will definitely help them grow, and therefore gain good will. This definitely helps to seal in a positive working relationship with your list of friends.

#4 – Communicate Personal Changes
The more personal you get with your audience, the more they understand you better. It may not seem fair that everyone knows about you but you don’t know much about your audience… but I believe that with the depth of knowledge they have, they can come to trust you even more.
