Can life be any easier?

I have to admit, it feels really good to be able to travel to any part of the world I want and take a break. It’s my first official break since 2001, and while I often get the jitters as to what might happen in 2007, I think I’m handling this freedom pretty well. :D

Was in China, Guangzhou, and made some interesting friends here. Managed to swing by to Hong Kong once again to meet up with Kelvin Hui for dinner. Too bad I didn’t have much of a chance to catch up more, but we will definitely see more of Kelvin in 2007 (hint hint).

When G-O-O-G-L-E Made Saying Goodbye Easier

I had a long night last night with training. In fact, I was doing so much training I forgot to deliver a very important message to my friend and mentor, Alex Mandossian. He was going to leave Singapore today, and I couldn’t bring myself to call him at 2am in the morning. Anyhow, I drifted off to sleep and woke up this morning, and wondering how I ought to pass this message (it was together with my book, by the way). I knew he was going to be on a CX flight, so I headed off to Terminal 1.

Eyeballs Are a-Popping…

It’s amazing when the email box is full.. I was clearing over 5,000 emails that I had to put off filing, and it took me a full 2 hours to categorize.

So, those of you who are eager to manage your in-box on Outlook, here’s what I normally do.

1. Create a rule WHEN the email comes in. This will solve your long term eyeball pain problems.

2. Structure your folders according to person and service. If the ‘person’ writes you, file it with the person folder. Usually however, your mind is structured to think of the first thing that comes to mind. So if a software upgrade announcement from “RSStoBlog” comes in, you should be looking under the product, not the person “Michelle Timothy”.

Part #3: Where Has Stuart Tan Disappeared To?

In getting updated, I realized that there are a lot more things that have to be done in Internet Marketing, at least for the beginners. I think you guys need a whole lot more support way beyond just attending a seminar. So I was sitting down and devising the best way to get this done. You’ll be surprised at what I came up with.

Part #2: Where Has Stuart Tan Disappeared To?

One of the things I’ve been involved heavily in, if you’ve been participating in my personal blog at www.stuart-tan.com, is I’ve been training more schools. Some of them have been interesting and exciting, many of them have been close to pure torture, but interesting nonetheless.

During my involvement with training students, I have also found that there are a huge number of opportunities working with them. The interesting thing also, is that we’ve trained at over 50 schools and on average 300 students. That’s a large pool of 15,000 people! It’s an interesting way to, say, build an opt-in list, because in about 6-7 years time, these people will be ready to start engaging in career development opportunities, such as internet marketing.

Part #1: Where Has Stuart Tan Disappeared To?

Ok, here’s my story. Since January 2006, a lot of things have happened to me. I can’t even begin to explain what and how, but it did. I’m going to detail all of this, for those of you who were wondering. In fact, the issue came about with my departure from internet marketing since January, focusing on using these methods more fervently instead of just teaching them. Guess what?

I found many interesting things!
