One of the biggest mistakes that most article marketers do is they never write to targeted trade publications. Target trade publications often run out of ideas, and if you have been keeping track of them, you could offer them a story that is compelling to the editor.
Seek out several targeted trade publications, and start writing furiously.
Always remember to link the trade publication to your website. Do it subtly so that the editor won’t get pissed that you are getting a free ride. Make it exceptional value so that your editor will ask you to keep writing and save them the hassle!ÂÂ

Are you struggling for more sources of traffic? Well, there are people all around you, all you need to do is ask. That’s my basic premise. However, if you are really dead broke, here’s what I’d recommend you to do.
Borrow someone’s web cam. Record a message about something amazing about you or something you have seen. To search for a hot topic, simply use the tool at http://inventory.overture.com. You can also check out the categories on Youtube and see which are the most popular ones. It will probably give you an idea about the kind of videos you can make!

Ever thought of this? Get a whole bunch of friends together and start writing your domain name and captivating headline on toilet paper. Then, get one of the guys wrapped up in toilet paper distributing the pieces of toilet paper just outside major restrooms with a high volume of traffic.
Lol – it’s probably so crazy, it might just work!

I’ll wager that you have at least a handful of t-shirts that you want to discard, right? If you had a fatter wallet, then print this. Get a t-shirt plus another 10 sets, get a bunch of people to wear this t-shirt that states an offer and the deadline of expiry of the offer. In fact, people who ask, give them a t-shirt as well!
Have a bunch of people to distribute this t-shirt, and run a contest – if you are spotted wearing this t-shirt, you will stand a chance to win a prize (MP3, CD, video, whatever). Imagine people asking you for a free t-shirt that brands you!

Here’s a quick tip for you, but if you don’t do it, it won’t be worth the THOUSANDS that it could bring you.
Poor Man’s traffic #1 is to go out on the street for the next 7 days and speak to 20 people. This will jumpstart your list to about 140 people within 7 days. Prepare a presentation and go street evangelizing.
To expand this, all you need to do is to gang up in niche clusters to share your database. 5 people bringing in 150 people means a list of 750 people you can share as part of a joint venture (of course, don’t contaminate it with non-targeted traffic).
