As a result of these two methods, you will be able to understand the basic foundation of the list building process. If you don’t already have these two elements in your marketing mix, you will build a list extremely slowly. So, how do you actually do this? The first thing that you have to do is to have an offer. Do you have a compelling offer the targets your market? I mean, if you wanted people on your list to be there to you and to have a positive connection with you, why are you giving out stuff that belongs to other people? The mere fact that you are distributing someone else’s product without having your own offer is an indication of a lack of credibility.

This is something that even I only recently implemented. So what has happened, is that I have begun to establish a much detailed affiliate management program and open it up to as many other people as possible. For those who are interested in becoming affiliates, it’s very easy to accomplish. But for those who are interested in becoming affiliate managers, that’s slightly different.

is one of the most unenviable tasks ever.  Sometimes, you just simply run
dry.  However, the reason behind this is simple — you don’t have the right
strategy for launching a lead generation campaign.  If you had the right
strategies, it would become apparent to you that it is necessary to (1) spend
money, (2) track what you have done . 

As we all say in Internet
marketing, if you don’t measure what you do then you can’t improve. 

Having said that, what are some
of the ways in which you can reach out to people who are interested in your
market?  Newbury park?  People who have never encountered your product
or service before, but might be interested in what you’re doing? 

The answer is simple.  Find
out different problems that have the same solution! 

If your solution is a product
like a home study course that teaches you how to manage of stress, then you will
be looking at people who are not just over the stressed, you’ll also be looking
for people who are managers looking to be promoted, children studying for
examinations, parents who need techniques to help them state level headed,
people running a business, housewives who are also work in home moms and the
like.  The fact is, there are many problems that have the same solution. 

Here’s another example.  If
you are selling a public speaking course like what I’m doing, you’d be looking
at entrepreneurs who need to convince other people more, would be speakers at a
presentation, trainers who have some years of experience in speaking, students
who need to make presentations in school and the list goes on .  Whatever
the case, whatever the niche, there will be many different potential problems
that you could solve. 

Once you’ve identified the
problems, then you can use your marketing mechanisms to reach out to people. 
These are lead generation devices such as advertisements in newspapers and trade
magazines, article marketing, writing a book, creating an online community,
doing joint ventures, or even radio commercials.  The list goes on, but you
need to test their return on your investment.  If you don’t measure how
many new leads you generate , you will not know how much you have spent
productively.  Just remember that for every dollar that you spend, you
ought to be deriving five to ten times that amount in revenue at the bare
minimum. 

Sometimes, I spend up to $600.00
to acquire a new customer.  However, this customer brings me back $3,500.00
in revenue.  The returns are quite phenomenal.  Likewise, just because
you spend $0.10 to acquire a customer doesn’t mean this customer is going to
spend. So, I’m going to urge you to learn how to spend effectively. 
Measure your spending, against the return on investment, and you’ll find
yourself entering into a very profitable enterprise.  

It also is not viable for you to have a big list if your list has little spending power. You need to understand the rationale for your list building efforts before you actually monetize from them. In my opinion, the fastest way to build a list is through direct contact with your audience. This often works if your geographical size is small like in Singapore. I run preview seminars so frequently that I am confident that this is the best way to keep in touch with my audience. This, however, is expensive. I do believe there are better ways to collect data online that are cheaper. You could do a joint venture, but you’d need to know how to launch a project first. The marketing requirements are important if you are going to do a joint venture because you need to benefit your joint venture partner as much as yourself.

Some people think this is riding on other people, and I think that’s absolutely true. In order to create your own brand, you ought to generate traffic using multiple other list building devices including viral marketing, classified advertisements, etc.

The most powerful I think is to generate offline traffic for online sales. It has worked for me and I do believe that with this kind of a list, it will give you better leverage to find joint venture partners.

Traditional affiliate marketing also helps to build lists through Google, so I highly recommend you use that approach as well. You will need an autoresponder software like Aweber, and then all you need to do is to start building compelling offers for people so they will register for your product and therefore leave you their contact details.
