Anyhow, HTML is a very simple thing to do. All you need to do is Google for “html tutorial” and you’ll find tons of free resources to use.

Of course, you need your webhost installed to play with HTML. I’d always suggest heading down to this web host provider to get you webhosting service. Set up a blog using Fantastico, then start populating it with content.

What content, you might ask.

(1) make sure it’s in an industry where people advertise
(2) make sure it’s in an area where people are interested in the ads
(3) make sure there are more than 5 ads in Google

(5) check if you can get video or photo content of this area.

If you can fulfill at least the first 4 criteria, you’re on a roll, then you only need to generate about a post a day. You could double it and have 2 a day to maintain a healthy blog. Once you have done this for about 14-21 days, you should have a good understanding of blogging.

Then once you have the hang of it, get a few more hosting accounts and set up a few more blogs. Remember to link them all together because by linking them, you actually get better inter-blog pagerank being passed to you. For all intents and purposes, you don’t need to know about Google PageRank yet, but you should install the Google Toolbar.

I’ve never really considered building a web site a difficult thing. However, most people who have started to learn how to use websites have never touched and editing tool in their life. For myself, I have specially made use of programs such as notepad and Frontpage. When I first started HTML coding, it was through notepad. Definitely it was a painful experience. But the fact is, I didn’t understand that even with HTML editing software such as Frontpage were difficult to use for complete newbie.

WYSIWYG editor
A WYSIWYG editor is a software which allows you to see what you’re editing as if you’re designing in the way it looks on your Internet browser. It’s the short form for “what you see is what you get”. Now obviously, we say we get editors are the best forms of editors to use for beginners. There are many different types of WYSIWYG editors that you can use. One of them includes Frontpage. Of course, this is a little bit pricier than most other Editors, but if you’re used to the Microsoft Word interface, this should be very familiar for you to use.
If you are starting off using DreamWeaver, this is a very comprehensive web site designing tool. However, it is the most expensive of the lot, and even I don’t recommend using it unless you are a designer. One of the reasons behind this, is that DreamWeaver sometimes prevents you from acquiring a really good website that actually sells. It is also difficult for someone using DreamWeaver who is no exposure to SEO to think that a well designed site is just a visually pleasing site. But, I don’t expect any of you to understand SEO at the moment because it does require quite a fair bit of training. Consider it the Ph.D. level of web site design.
For beginners, I’d also recommend that you visit NVU.com as well as PageBreeze.com. These two software that you can use absolutely free of charge and you can download them from their respective web sites. Both of these are free editors, and afford use some savings in cash. I’m not sure about you, but this doesn’t look like it can be done overnight. As a result, some people prefer to read and do. this has been my personal experience, where actually purchased several books, followed through them, and gained some experience myself. However, there are many people who attend courses in order to master HTML. It is therefore important to have landing pages for your ads because it is the only way for you to earn something in an affiliate program. Without landing pages, all you do is spend money paying your affiliates without actually getting anything in return.

Reason no. 2: Other web pages may just not be enough.

Many people make the mistake of making their website’s homepage as the landing page for their ads. The same is true for those who make use of other pages like a “contact us” page or a product page. Homepages are often designed to serve multiple users and contains a lot of links to other pages or to other websites. The same is with the other two pages mentioned. If you want to be successful in an affiliate program, we’re sure that you don’t want your landing page to cater to the needs of various people, most of which may not be really interested with your product.

When choosing a landing page, you must always have the customer directed into that page in mind. Therefore, your landing page must be relevant to the keywords and the contents you placed on your ad. By the way – JUST because you know how to create a website DOES NOT give you the competence to drive TRAFFIC. Neither does it help you to create a PRODUCT. All these are different competencies you need to learn.
